Beacon
Zesty's various integrations all include the DSIG Beacon, a small helper script that indexes Zesty-integrated apps onto Zesty's own DSIG Relay, which helps facilitate discovery of new spatial web apps. You can visit this relay here. If you'd like to just integrate the DSIG Beacon on its own into your app, see the Beacon Github repo for further instructions.
The beacon resides inside the spatial web app, and will point to one or multiple relays to materialise itself on a relay’s app directory. The relay owner can decide whether to keep that beacon there or not. Other relay runners can decide to follow other relays that are indexing apps they like. A beacon broadcasts information. Specifically, it conveys all the relevant metadata one might be interested in for an experience (creation date, type of experience, potentially even online players if the experience is networked, etc).
Beacons communicate with Relays in order to obtain information like related experiences, as well as making their own presence known if they have been newly published. The reputation of the spatial web app can be determined by the number of relays that are indexing the beacon.
